Hello. I have ben designing an object for hours and had been saving the file under a few different names and when I got to about 98% completion BobCam V25 crashed and when I re-launched the program it will not open my file anymore. It instantly searches for a solution and shuts down. It corrupted the file I was working on and none of the other that I thought I was saving are there, it is like it deleted them all when the application crashed. Several hours down the bleepin’ drain. Is there any hope of opening the file?
did you look here: C drive/BobCAD CAM Data/BobCAD CAM V25/Back-up
Yes, I just found the folder and the backup that is in there is corrupted also.
I was just about to cleanup/optimize the project and call it quits for the night when the application shutdown and corrupted the file. It looks like I will probably have to start over, and I was so close to finishing the design part of the project. I wish there was another application that could open *.bbcd files.
Instead of opening from the file icon,,open up V 25 then go to file / open.
One time I recently have done similar.Usually when you are struggling or having to do things twice.Your loosing your groove of work, things not flowing right,,seems the model gets heavier and heavier and then it freezes.
You get a feeling when it is time to redo from scratch and it will go fast this time and CLEAN,,,,then continue on where you were.Lot to be said about clean geometry and a correct execution of commands.
Another thing that messes me up the most is my graphics card is middle of the road. That will present it’s own set off problems,Need some pretty big resources for some files.
Seen some BoB stuff done a super modified computer, quite the difference in how it handled crunching the data.So there are some thing I try to avoid or make better.
I always do some moves slow, like selecting geometry,pause/then ok.Sometimes you rush these calculations, trouble follow.
Thanks for the suggestion. I tried opening from the file menu and it still crashes the program. It shows a preview of the file but will not open. The application seemed to really do a number on the file.
try .zip the .bbcd file here.I can give a try.
