I have hundreds of V20 .cnc files that need to be converted to .txt files so that I can use Predator for file transfer. Does anyone know how ? Without opening every one in V20 and saving as a .txt file ?
Isn’t it enough to change the extension ? (right-click, rename).
There are many free software also for automatic file renaming.
I realize this is an old thread, but I was wondering if there was ever a resolution to this issue. Simply changing the file extension doesn’t work. The files are compressed (internal to older BobCAD versions), and trying to open them with a text editor just gives garbled data. I did find this on one the CNCZONE forum, but no one at BobCAD seems to have heard of it:
The file type that was saved is a compressed format.. (Only readable by BobCAD V21 and older). We hare at BobCAD may have a fix for this though, our development team has just finished making a conversion tool contact me directly email@example.com and I will see if I can convert all of the files for you to use with your newer BobCAD software.
We have A LOT of older programs that need converting, and I really don’t want to open them one at a time with v17. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanx, Jeff
