V24- trying to create a leadin for plasma part. I have defined the stock geometry but the leadin for the part I am cutting out is inside the piece I want cut out. How to I move the leadin to the outside of the part? thanks

Join and post on CNC Zone –

Even the really useful BobCad support staff have stopped responding on their own forum,
    More’s the pity,

Jeff just a heads up, We have not stopped responding on our own forum, If you look at the past posts almost all of them get help from us. Unless it is something that one of our other users happen to help with and there is no need for us to respond. If you want to us CNC Zone that works just fine with us.

But to answer your question, if your Lead-ins are starting on the inside of the part and you need them to start on the outside, and you have no Contour setup for your Geometry, all you have to do is Right-Click on Start Point under Feature Profile inside your CAM Tree and click Reverse Direction. Then just Re-Compute your toolpath and you should see the Lead-In change to the other side of the line.

Also if you have a Technical Support Membership you can reach us directly Monday-Friday 8AM to 7PM eastern time by calling (727)489-0003 or send an email to Support@Bobcad.com.

thanks Mike. I did some reading about contours and then played with the system compensation and this worked. I will keep the technical support membership in mind after I get some more of the basics under my belt.
