    Hello there :)

As I am quite new to BobCAD please bear with me.

I’ve imported a STEP file that contains an exploded assembly.
I want to select part of that assembly, but can only select the whole thing.
Is there a way to “ungroup” the assembly?

Go to Utilities/Stitching/Unstitch surfaces from Solid

Then use Boolean Add to assemble the surfaces back together for part wanted

    Hopefully this helps

Do not use Boolean Add to add surfaces back together. You must use Stitching/Stitch Surfaces to Solid. If you use boolean add it will cause issues in the geometry itself.
