I will try to make it short. I HAVE A PROGRAM WITH 11 FEATURES. WHAT I SEE ON THE BOBCAD SCREEN (TOOL PATH ) LOOKS RIGHT BUT WHEN I VERIFY IT ON THE MACHINE SOME OF THE TOOL PATHS ARE DIFFERENT AND SOME ARE NOT THERE AT ALL. THE CODE IS THERE IN BOBCAD AND ON THE MACHINE. WHEN I RUN THE PROGRAM THE MACHINE DOES WHAT WAS VERIFED. I HAVE REDRAWN IT SEVERAL TIMES WITH THE SAME RESULTS. HELP.
Robby, post you .bbcd file online to take a look. Thanks
HI, DARREN THANKS FOR THE REPLY. I HAD TROUBLE LOGGING IN FOR SOME REASON. I THINK I HAVE FOUND THE PROBLEM, THE PART OF MY PROGRAM THAT WAS NOT RUNNING RIGHT WAS A SIMPLE CIRCULAR POCKET. THE POCKET FEATURE IS TOOL COMPING, SO IN THE CODE THE START POINT AND THE END POINT OF THE ARC ARE THE SAME. ALL I WOULD GET IS A STRAIGHT LINE IN X AT THE STEP OVER AMOUNT UNTIL IT GOT TO THE DIA. OF THE POCKET. I THINK I NEED TO WORK WITH THE APPROACH OR LEAD IN AND OUT.
Robby, Good to hear. keep us up to date with your progress. Or if you need any help along the way
When upgraded to Level 2 of Predator should the Icon on the Desk Top stay at Level 1 and the only way to Backplot is to have to open Predator 2 thru Bobcad?.
I have had the same issue in the past, but the problem was coming from Mach 3 and not BobCAD. I determined that there where certain coordinates causing the problem because even if I hand wrote the gcode it still would not run an arc. I believe the issue stemmed from Mach3 converting metric coordinates for the center of the arc and getting some kind of non repeating decimal answer causing Mach3 to ignore the command and move on to the next line. When I moved the arc center coordinate even by 0.01mm it would work. It was like having poison spots. It seemed to only happen when running metric gcode.
