I am trying to mill the back of a guitar neck with an angled headstock. Due to constraints beyond my control, I would like to mill the neck contour up to the base of the headstock but leave the headstock to be cut on the bandsaw. I’ve been having trouble when setting the machining strategy to where the toolpath ends up cutting through where the headstock should be around the end of the neck itself. Is there any way to mill the back of the neck without it rounding over the end?

The question is really, how can you 3d/2.5d mill one part of a whole without the toolpaths extending over the ends or edge? Is it a matter of posting the gcode and then editing out the unwanted toolpaths, or is there a better way to do it within bobcad?

Ok, trying attachment again. Attachment not working, within file size limit.

I’ve looked at videos and the help menu, no help there that I’ve been able to find.
