Cut Tolerance

Introduction

The Cut Tolerance is the tolerance used for the accuracy of the toolpath. This value is the chordal deviation of the toolpath against the surfaces to be machined. In other words, the toolpath can have a maximum error to the surfaces in the range of plus or minus the cut tolerance. A small cut tolerance gives you more toolpath points on the drive surface, so the generated toolpath is more precise to the surface contour. The result of the machining is a very good surface quality but it takes much more time to calculate.
