This coupled with the fact that a lot of schools that do teach CAD/CAM for CNC machining teach software that is not affordable enough for students to take the software with them when they graduate and enter the workforce. The new program focuses on cost reduction for advanced CAD/CAM licenses for classrooms or labs that need multiple stations, training products that teachers can use including instructional videos and as much support for instructors to ensure they are successful in developing curriculums and teaching CAD/CAM. “Part of the issue that we see is that in many cases students are taught CAD/CAM systems that they simply can’t afford when they graduate, making them less likely to be successful in the general markets.
