This option utilizes user defined tilt lines as the side tilt direction. This option gives you the freedom of defining the side tilting direction manually by selecting lines. The system tilts the tool sideways with the value entered in Tilt Angle at Side of Cutting Direction. The tilt lines are considered in the calculation if the distance from one point of the toolpath until any point from the tilt line is equal or smaller than the value specified in Tilting Lines Maximum Snap Distance. When tilting is applied to a contour, only lines that match the above criteria are used, other lines that are not in the range are ignored.
NOTE: When you select lines from geometry, make sure that the chaining of all lines show the same relative direction. Either all lines should point away from drive surface or all lines should point towards the drive surface. If you mix the directions of the chain, the tool axis orientation also changes accordingly. If you set a Lead Angle to Cutting Direction then this angle is added to the orthogonal orientation.
