Line Tangent

Introduction

The Tangent function creates lines that are tangent to two selected entities (usually arcs). To perform the function, you click to select the entities in the graphics area.

Navigation

To open Line Tangent, do one of the following:

• In the Lines menu, click Tangent.

• On the CAD toolbar, click the down arrow and click the  icon.

• Right-click anywhere in the graphics area, point to CAD, Lines, and click Tangent.

The parameters display in the Data Entry tab of the Data-CAM Tree Manager.

The Data Entry Parameters

• Trim Entities
• On - the function trims the selected entities to create the line.
• Off - the function does not trim any entities to create the line.

• Cancel - closes the Data Entry Manager.
