When you load a previously saved MDI file, the Load MDI Task dialog box displays for you to select what tasks are loaded from the saved file.
The Task group displays the names of all tasks that exist in the MDI file you are loading. You use the Task group to select the tasks that you want to load into the current MDI page. When the dialog box opens, all tasks are selected. You can change the selections by clicking a task to select it. You can then add and remove tasks from the selection using the modifier keys, Shift or Ctrl. Press and hold Ctrl and click to add or remove another task from the selection. You can also use the Select All button to select all tasks from the file you are loading. The tasks that you select are then loaded based on the option you select in the Option group.
The Option group contains three options that determine how the selected tasks are loaded into the current MDI page.
NOTE: When using either Full Replace or Replace Selected Tasks, any information defined in the current MDI page is overwritten with the information from the MDI file you are loading.
Full Replace
Use this option to replace the tasks in the current MDI page with the tasks that are selected in the Task group of the Load MDI Task dialog box.
Replace Selected Tasks
Use this option to replace the tasks in the current MDI page with the tasks that are selected in the Task group of the Load MDI Task dialog box.
Merge
Use this option to merge or combine the tasks in the current MDI page with the tasks that are selected in the Task group of the Load MDI dialog box. For example, if you already have commands defined in the Before Tool Change task of the current MDI page, and you merge a Before Tool Change task from another file, the commands from both are placed under the current Before Tool Change task.
You can click the Select All button to select all tasks in the Tasks group of the Load MDI Task dialog box.
