In this Topic Show
After the nest has been computed you will have the ability to adjust settings including Feature Order and Cutting Order. To access the Machining Order dialogue box, right-click on the Nesting Job and select Machining Order.
Holes and Dadoes are always done on the part prior to the part being freed from the sheet. Feature Order gives you control over which one is done before the other.
When there are several tools being used in a nesting job, you may want to use one tool everywhere it is needed on the sheet before changing tools. In other cases, you may want to finish a part before moving across the nest to another part, even if it requires a tool change. Cutting order will let you choose in which order the job is to be completed. It will also let you toggle between cutting everything and then coming back to cut tabs, or to have tabs be cut for each part before moving on to the next part.
- When selected, the tabs will be left on until all parts are cut.
- When cleared, once the nested quantity of a part with tabs has been finished. The tabs will be cut for that part before moving onto the next part and the nested quantity for that part.
OK - finalizes any changes that were made and exits the Machining Order dialogue box.
Cancel - will void any changes that were made
and exits the Machining Order dialogue box.
