The Customize dialog box is used to modify the default toolbars and to create custom toolbars. While you can move the toolbars at anytime, to change which buttons (or commands) are on the toolbars, the Customize dialog box must be open. You can then make the changes as described in this topic.
To access the Customize dialog box:
Toolbars
The toolbars list contains all of the available toolbars with a check box next to each.
Select the check box to show the selected toolbar in the interface.
Clear the check box to hide the selected toolbar from the interface.
Show Tool Tips
Select the check box to show tool tips when you point to an item in the user interface.
Clear the check box to turn off the tool tips.
Cool Look
Select the check box to insert separation lines between the individual icons on the toolbars.
Clear the check box to remove separation lines.
Select the check box to use large toolbar icons in the user interface.
Clear the check box to use small toolbar icons in the user interface.
New - opens the New Toolbar dialog box. Type the name of the new toolbar, and click OK. The new (empty) toolbar is displayed in the user interface. You can then drag icons from the Commands tab or from other toolbars onto the new toolbar. (You can use the reset option to return any icons removed from a default toolbar.)
Reset - returns the selected toolbar to the original default settings. Be sure to select the appropriate toolbar before clicking Reset.
Categories
The Categories list shows all of the available toolbar categories. Select a category in the list to show all of the available toolbar icons for that category in the Buttons list.
Buttons
The Buttons list shows all of the available toolbar icons for the selected category. You can click and drag an item from the list onto any toolbar. To figure out what each icon represents, click the icon and the name is displayed in the Description box.
TIP: When the Customize dialog box is open, you can drag any icon, from any toolbar, onto any other toolbar. You can only move and/or reorder toolbar icons while the Customize dialog box is open. The toolbars themselves can be moved at any time.
