Rectangular Plane

Example 1

  1. Open a new graphics area by left clicking on the File menu and then New.

  2. Click the Rectangular Plane icon on the Surfaces toolbar or select the Rectangular Plane function from the Surfaces menu.

  3. The Data-CAM Tree Manager will be populated with fields for user input.

  4. Input 1.25 for the Width, 3.125 for the Height and 0.0 for the Radius.

  5. Click on the Enter option in the Origin field to select it, and then select Bottom Left from the drop down field.

  6. Then input 0.875 for X, 1.875 for Y, and 0.0 for Z.

  7. Click OK.

  8. A rectangular plane will be created in the graphics area.

  1. To end this function, click Cancel in the Data-CAM Tree Manager or right click anywhere in the graphics area and choose Cancel in the pop-up menu.

Example 2

  1. Open a new graphics area by clicking on the File menu and then New.

  2. Click the Rectangular Plane icon on the Surfaces toolbar or select the Rectangular Plane function from the Surfaces menu.

  3. The Data-CAM Tree Manager will be populated with fields for user input.

  4. Input 2.5 for the Width, 2.5 for the Height and 0.25 for the Radius.

  5. Click on Pick in the Origin field to select it and choose Top Right from the drop down field.

  6. Move the cursor into the graphics area and click anywhere in it. The location that is selected will be used as the reference position (origin) for the plane.

  7. A rectangular plane will be created.

  1. To end this function, click Cancel in the Data-CAM Tree Manager or right click anywhere in the graphics area and choose Cancel in the pop-up menu.
