Make Arcs Tangential

Introduction

The Make Arcs Tangential Function

The Make Arcs Tangential function corrects the tangency of arc segments. To perform the function, you select geometry and press the Space bar to accept the selection.

To open Make Arcs Tangential: 

 

  • In the Reorganize group, of the Utilities ribbon, click Make Arcs Tangential.

The Data Entry Parameters

Parameters

 

  • Minimum Angle - sets the smallest amount of deviation from tangency allowed for the selected segments.
  • Maximum Angle - sets the largest angle of deviation that is corrected for the selected segments.

 

 

(Delete) - removes the highlighted item from the list.

(Delete All) - removes all entities from the list.
The list box will list the entities currently selected for the function.

 

  • OK - finalizes the function.
  • Cancel - exits the function.

Quick Steps - Make Arcs Tangential

  1. Open the function.

    The Selected Geometry list automatically has focus.

  2. Set the Parameters.

  3. Select the geometry the lines and arcs which are to be made tangent.

    The geometry is added to the Selected Geometry list.

  4. Click OK.

    The arcs which could be made tangent, within the constraints of the parameters, are made tangent.

  5. Repeat a necessary.

  6. Click Cancel to exit the function.
