Tapered Pocketing
Introduction
This topic explains the Parameters page of the Tapered Pocketing operation found in the Mill V-Carve Wizard. The V-Carve Tapered Pocketing operation is designed for pocketing using a mill instead of the V-tool.
Parameters
Pocketing Parameters
- Pocket
Depth - displays the Total Depth that is set in the Feature
page.
- Depth
of Cut - sets the maximum Z-axis step down. This value is used
even if the tool can remove the material in a single pass at any portion
of the geometry.
- Endmill
Cutter Width % - sets the maximum amount that V-Carve may step
the tool sideways in relation to the tool diameter when pocketing
with a mill.
