MillTurn Submachine

Introduction

A submachine determines which machine devices work together to perform machining operations (one tool device and one workpiece device as seen in the table below), which are also called work zones. The submachine item in the CAM Tree determines the default setting used in the CAM wizards when creating CAM features. The submachine used for any feature can also be changed as needed in the posting page of the wizard.

Right-click this item and click Edit to access a shortcut menu with the names of all submachines that are defined for the current machine. Select the Submachine name and click OK to determine the default setting in the CAM Wizards. Note that if features are already created, you are asked if you want to change the submachine for all features. Click No if you don't want to change the currently assigned submachine for all features in the Machine Setup, or click Yes to change only the default submachine setting that is used when creating new features. If you change the submachine for existing features, you may need to remount the tools in the tool crib. You can also change the submachine for any feature in the Posting settings of the wizard.
