The Unstitch Solid to Surfaces Function

The Unstitch Surfaces to Solid function separates the surfaces of asolid, or connected surfaces, into multiple selectable entities.To performthe function, you select geometry and press the Space bar to accept theselections.

To open Unstitch Solid to Surfaces:

  • In the Modify groupof the Create 3D ribbon, click the down arrow for Stitch Surfaces to Solid, and select Unstitch Solid to Surfaces.

The parameters display in the Data Entry Manager.

Selected Geometry


(Delete) - removes the highlighted item from the Selected Geometry list.

(Delete All) - removes all entities from the Selected Geometry list.

The list will display all entities currently selected for the function.

  • OK - finalizes the function.

  • Cancel - exits the function.

Quick Steps - Unstitch Solid to Surfaces

  1. Open the function.

    The Selected Geometry list automatically has focus.

  2. Select the solids to be unstitched.

    The solids are added to the Selected Geometry list.

  3. Confirm the selections.

    The solids are unstitched.

  4. Click Cancel to close the function.
