The Stitch Surfaces to Solid

The Stitch Surfaces to Solid function combines separate surfaces or solids into a single entity. To perform the function, you select geometry, and press the Spacebar to accept the selections.

To open Stitch Surfaces to Solid:

 

  • In the Modify group of the Create 3D ribbon, click Stitch Surfaces to Solid.

 

The parameters display in the Data Entry Manager.

The Data Entry Parameters

Selected Geometry

 

(Delete) - removes the highlighted item from the Selected Geometry list.

(Delete All) - removes all entities from the Selected Geometry list.

The list will display all entities currently selected for the function.

 

  • OK - finalizes the function.

  • Cancel - exits the function.

Quick Steps - Stitch Surfaces to Solid

  1. Open the function.

    The Selected Geometry list automatically has focus.

  2. Select the surfaces to be stitched together.

    The surfaces are added to the Selected Geometry list.

  3. Click OK.

    A Stitch Surfaces to Solid feature is added to the CAD Tree.

  4. Repeat as necessary.

  5. Click Cancel to close the function.
