What's New in BobCAD-CAM V38 SP2

Introduction

The second update to our BobCAD-CAM V38® includes general corrections, CAM corrections

CAM – General

BCC-2933 – Corrected an issue where Phantom operations could appear in the CAM Tree after copy/paste and file reload.

BCC-2897 – Added an option to change the background color of operations in the Operation Tree based on the index, which the user can turn off.

BCC-2946 – Corrected an issue where the Group Retracts Axis parameter did not retain the user-selected option in the CAM Wizard.

Mill

BCC-2907 – Corrected an issue where G99/G98 Hole Group commands were not output correctly.

BCC-2934 – Corrected an issue where Deburring operations did not compute a toolpath in BobCAM for SolidWorks.

BCC-2935 – Corrected an issue where a Lead-out would default to Vertical when “Same as Lead-in” was not checked.

BCC-2941 – Corrected an issue where a selected Hole Recognition hole group no longer highlighted the geometry in the CAD window.

5-Axis Milling

BCC-2908 – Corrected an issue where indexed 5-Axis operations did not adhere to the limits set in MachSim.

Lathe

BCC-2883 – Corrected an issue where the Trim to Stock option did not work when creating a new Turn (Rough) feature.

BCC-2931 – Corrected an issue where Thread Per Unit was not tied to the Feedrate in a Lathe Thread operation.

BCC-2940 – Corrected an issue where Cutter Compensation (G41/G42) was not output in Canned Cycles.

BCC-2963 – Corrected an issue where Apply to All did not work on the Lathe Rapids and Leads page.

BCC-2965 – Corrected an issue where RPM mode was chosen even though the tool had Feeds and Speeds saved as CSS.

BCC-2970 – Corrected an issue where a Threading cycle posted in the reverse direction on specific geometry.

Mill-Turn

BCC-2881 – Corrected an issue with the Drilling Spindle Speed in the Mill-Turn/Lathe module.

BCC-2927 – Corrected an issue that could cause a Y-axis overtravel error.

BCC-2893 – Corrected an issue where a 2-Axis toolpath displayed broken in Simulation for Mill-Turn.

BCC-2966 – Corrected an issue where the Tool Offset Register 1 (Diameter) value was not posted in a Mill-Turn Lathe operation.

Wire EDM

BCC-2832 – Corrected an issue with the sorting of Wire EDM operations in the Operations Tree.

Tooling

BCC-2939 – Corrected an issue where tools created in the Tool Crib did not retain their assigned number when moved to the Tool Library.

BCC-2969 – Corrected an issue where tools created in the Tool Library were renumbered when moved to the Tool Crib.

BCC-2903 – Corrected an issue related to the “Adapter” field in the Mounting Location dialog.

Posting / Toolpath Output

BCC-2894 – Corrected an issue where Mazak machines required a positive X value before a G12.1 was output.

Customization / Lua API

BCC-2937 – Corrected an issue where MILL_GetDrillCycleType() returned an incorrect value for a Left-Hand Tap operation.

User Interface & Workflow

BCC-2885 – Corrected an issue where the notification window and workspace context menu popup appeared in the wrong location.

BCC-2895 – Added a stay time to the pop-up message so users have time to read an unread message sent through the notification system.
