Stock Handling Parameters
Introduction
This topic will explain the Parameters page of the Lathe Stock Handling operation and all the options found in it.
The Parameters page
Once the Stock Handling feature has been created, you will use the variables in this Parameters page to set Parameters, Rapids, and Machining Data, to get exactly what is needed.
Parameters
- Initial
Z Position - is the Z-axis location to which the stock clamp
is moved, at the Rapid Feedrate, before the feed approach to the clamp
position.
- Initial
X Position - is the X-axis location to which the stock clamp
is moved, at the Rapid Feedrate, before the feed approach to the clamp
position.
- Z
Clamp Location - is the Z-axis position at which the stock
is clamped.
- X
Clamp Location - is the X-axis position at which the stock
is clamped.
- Z End Location - is the position to which the stock clamp feeds the stock.
Rapids
- Home
Z - is the Z-axis position to which the turret is moved after
the stock feed operation.
- Home X - is the X-axis position to which the turret is moved after the stock feed operation.
Machining Data
- Tool
Number - indicates the tool number used to call the clamp.
- Feed
Rate - is the rate applied to the feed moves in the stock feed
operation.
- Rapid Feedrate - is the rate applied to the rapid moves in the stock feed operation.
