Simulation
Introduction
This topic explains the Simulation tab, and the options found in it. This topic will also provide links to related topics.
The Simulation Tab
The simulation tab can be used to set various stop conditions. The stop conditions stop, or pause, the current simulation when one of the defined conditions is met. When using a stop condition, after each stop, you must click the run button to continue the simulation.
- Pause simulation and notify on stop commands and conditions
- This informs the simulation that you would like it to stop in certain instances. The specific instances are defined below.
- The simulation will not stop. When this check box is cleared, the options below will not be available.
Program Based Stop Conditions
-
Stop on Tool Change
Select the check box to force the simulation to stop at each tool change during simulation.
Clear the check box to allow the simulation to play through tool changes.
-
Stop on Operation Change
Select the check box to force the simulation to stop at each machining operation change during simulation.
Clear the check box to allow the simulation to play through tool changes.
When turning on the Stop on Operation Change option, you can also select whether to stop at all operations, or you can click the down arrow to select a specific operation.
-
On Block
Select the check box to force the simulation to stop at the block defined in the text field.
Clear the check box to allow the simulation to play through all blocks.
-
Stop before occurrence
Select the check box to force the simulation to stop before the specified type of occurrence.
Clear the check box to force the simulation to stop at the specified type of occurrence if an option to do so has been selected.
Cutting based stop conditions
-
Stop on new chip detection
Select the check box to force the simulation to stop when a chip is detected.
Clear the check box ignore new chips.
Tool tip position based (WCS) stop conditions
