What's New in BobCAM for SOLIDWORKS V11 SP2

Introduction

The second update to our BobCAM for SOLIDWORKS V11 includes a couple general fixes, fixes in nearly every CAM module including Simulation, as well as several Posting corrections!

Corrections

General

• Corrected an issue which caused a crash when opening a particular V31 part file.
  
  
  

• Corrected an instance of a file crashing on close by updating SMLib codes.
  
  
  

CAM

General

• Corrected an issue which hid the Save Defaults button in the CAM Wizard on 4K monitors when the resolution was not set to 100%.
  
  
  

 

Mill

Mill Express

• Corrected an issue in the Operation Tree which caused the sorting method next to the Job Name to disappear when an operation was added.
  
  
  

• Corrected an issue which caused an “Object reference not set to an instance of an object” crash when trying to reselect geometry.
  
  
  

• Corrected an issue which prevented the spring passes on a chamfer mill operation from being output when using multiple steps.
  
  
  

• Corrected an issue which prevented the selected hole from highlighting in the graphics area when selected in the Hole Sequence dialog.
  
  
  

• Corrected an issue which prevented the Compute All Toolpath option from working when selected from the Contextual Ribbon.
  
  
  

• Corrected an issue which caused tabs to be removed from some active chains. This could occur when the feature geometry was updated to remove some chains from the Selected Geometry list, while leaving the others.
  
  
  

 

Mill 3 Axis Pro

• Corrected an issue which prevented some settings from converting correctly when moving from the Standard UI to the Advanced UI.
  
  
  

• Corrected an issue which prevented the operations with the option for the Advanced UI from retaining their collapsed state in the tree on the left side of the wizard.
  
  
  

 

Mill 4 Axis Pro

• Corrected an issue which prevented the plunge feedrate in a laser operation from updating. The Plunge feedrate now matches the set feedrate.

• Corrected an issue in the MDI page of the CAM wizard which prevented subsequent Axis IDs from updating automatically after clicking on the first.

• Corrected an issue which prevented tap tools from appearing in the Tool Crib when accessed from the operation.

• Corrected an issue which prevented tap tools from appearing in the Tool Crib when accessed from the operation.

• Corrected an issue which prevented arc moves from being output for the skim pass of a coreless operation.

Simulation Standard

• Corrected an issue with Lathe toolpath being offset from center in the Y-axis.
  
  
  

• Corrected an issue where MillTurn Simulation will simulate lathe toolpath in incorrect location using Milling Head spindle

• Corrected an issue which caused a Y-axis travel limit error when posting a face drilling on a sub spindle from a previous file.
