Introduction

This topic will explain the Posting page and the options found in it. This topic will also provide a link to the next topic.

The Posting page

The Lathe Posting settings control whether the feature is output using separate moves or canned cycles.

Posting Parameters

Select one of the following options to format the NC program.

  • Separate Moves - the operations are long coded.

  • Canned Cycles - the operations are posted using the canned cycle from the post processor.

    • Canned Cycle Shift - sets the shift amount for Type II roughing cycles when under cutting is necessary.

Submachine (Mill Turn Jobs)

The submachine group determines the submachine, or work zone, that is used to perform all operations in the feature. You can use the Submachine list to change the submachine for the feature from the default submachine that is selected in the CAM Tree.

  • Submachine - displays all submachines (work zones) from the current machine. The submachines display with the name defined in the submachine definition of the Current Settings. Select the submachine, such as UT_MS (upper turret, main spindle) to determine which work zone performs all operations in the feature.
