Leads

Introduction

This topic will explain the Leads page of the Lathe Thread operation and all the options found in it. This topic will also provide a links to the next, and a related, topic.

The Leads page

The Leads page allows you to set how the thread is approached at the beginning of the feature and how it exits from the feature after completion. Thread Operations contain only a single lead-in and lead-out which serve as an extension to the selected geometry.

Lead-in

  • Lead-in- extends the beginning of the toolpath, into the thread, by the specified value.

Lead-out

  • Lead-out- extends the end of the toolpath, out of the thread, by the specified value.
