The Mill 4 Axis Rotary Wizard Geometry Selection
Introduction
The first step of the Mill 4 Axis Rotary Wizard, is to assign geometry for the feature. All operations in the feature are performed on the selected geometry.
Geometry Selection
The 4 Axis Rotary feature uses solids/surfaces for the feature geometry and wireframe chains for boundaries.
- Select Geometry- is used to assign solid
or surface geometry to the feature. All operations in the feature
are performed on the selected geometry.
Feature Geometry Picking
- Select Solid Body
- Allows you to select individual surfaces as geometry for the feature.
- Allows you to pick the entire model by selecting any one of its surfaces.
Selected Geometry - list all the geometry selected for the feature.
(Delete) - removes the highlighted item from the list. (Delete All)- removes all entities from the list. |

The list box will list the entities currently selected for the function. |
Feature Parameters - This group allows you to set the Top of the Feature.
Top of Feature
is the highest point in Z that cuts for the feature should be made. This value is incremental from the Machine Setup or machining origin.
- Top - sets the Top of Feature value on the Feature page.
Pick Top- allows you to select an item from the graphics area to specify the Top of Feature value.
(Delete) - removes the highlighted item from the list. |

OK - confirms the geometry and closes the Feature Geometry Picking manager.
Cancel - cancels geometry selection and closes the Feature Geometry Picking manager.
