Utility dialog

Introduction

This topic will explain the Utility dialog, describe how to access it, and will provide links to related topics.

Utility

While saving features has always been a handy tool, this practice has essentially been replaced by the User Defined Templates. With these templates, being accessible, and editable directly in the Machining Strategy page, there is really no need to save features through the CAM Tree any longer. For users that like the idea of User Defined Templates, but already have many saved features, the Utility dialog allows you to convert your existing saved features into User Defined Templates.

To access the Utility dialog:

  • In the BobCAM Command Manager tab, which can be found among the other tabs, such as the Features, Sketch, Evaluate, and DimXpert tabs, click Utility.
