Introduction

This topic describes the options found in the BobCAM for Rhino Help menu.

The BobCAM Help Menu

The BobCAM for Rhino Help menu contains the following items.

 

  • Show BobCAM - When the BobCAM Manager is not visible, this option will open it. You can also use ShowBobCAMRhino in the command line.

  • Help - launches the help system. You can also use Help in the command line.

  • Show License Status - displays a dialog box showing the current status of active licenses. You can also use ShowLicenseStatus in the command line.


  • Activate License - allows you to modify the state of the software licensing for the system. by launching a dialog box to allow you to either; Register Automatically via the Internet, or Register Manually via Email. You can also use ActivateLicense in the command line.


  • Transfer License - removes the license file from the computer. This is commonly used for transferring licenses from one computer to another. You can also use TransferLicense in the command line.

  • Switch to Local license - When a network license is in use, and a local license is available, this option will allow you to switch to the local license. If this option is grayed out, a network license is in use, but no local license is available. You can also use SwitchToLocalLicense in the command line.

  • Switch to Network license - When a local license is in use, and a network license is available, this option will allow you to switch to the network license. If this option is grayed out, a local license is in use, but no network license is available. You can also use SwitchToNetworkLicense in the command line.

  • Update License Network Connection Info - launches the Network Connection Info dialog box to allow you to update the Hostname and Port Number of the network. This option is only available when a network license is in use. You can also use UpdateNetworkInfo in the command line.

  • Checkout Roaming License From Server - When a roaming license is available, this option will launch the Check Out Roam License dialog. This dialog allows you to enter a number of days to check out a license from the server. Once a number is entered, click OK and the roaming license will allow you to use it while disconnected from the network. You can also use CheckoutRoamingLicense in the command line.

  • Return Roaming License to Server - selecting this option will return a roaming license to the network. You can also use ReturnRoamingLicense in the command line.

  • Post Encryption - accesses the EncryptPostingFile dialog to allow you to encrypt post processors. See the Post File Encryption Dialog topic for more information. You can also use PostEncryption in the command line.

  • BobCAD-CAM Support - if your computer has an active Internet connection, click this option to visit BobCAD-CAM's support website. You can also use Support in the command line.

  • About BobCAM... - will show the version and build number of the software you are using, along with copyright information, warnings, a link to the website, the End User License Agreement, and System Info. You can also use About in the command line.
