Stock Feed

This feature utilizes the bar feeder, on lathes equipped with the option, to advance the stock based on user inputs. When a Stock Feed feature is added to the CAM tree, the following items are also added.

Start Point - Allows you to specify a location for the tool movement to start. Right-click this item to produce a shortcut menu with the following options:

• Re/Select - Select this option to enable selection mode and select the appropriate start point geometry in the graphics area.
• Remove - Select this option to remove the start point association with this feature.

Stock Feed - Right-click this item to display a shortcut menu with three options:

1. • Edit - When this option is selected, a dialog box appears providing you with options for modifying the settings that are used when calculating the feature. See the Stock Feed dialog box for more detail on the parameters that are available.

   • Compute Toolpath - When this option is selected the system calculates the required movements for the feature.

   • Post Yes/No - This option allows you to determine whether or not the feature is included in the posted program.
