The Thread Library contains all of the available system tap thread sizes. This dialog box is used to add or modify the tap thread parameters. You can create new tap groups to define a custom set of threads or the thread sizes that you most frequently use. This help topic explains the layout and use of the Thread Library dialog box.
To access the Thread Library dialog box:
In the CAM Tree, right-click CAM Defaults, and click Thread Library.

Tapping Group
The Tapping Group contains all of the categories of taps. The most common tap groups are provided by default. You can also add your own groups and you can delete the existing groups if needed. To view all of the available taps for each group, select the group in the Tapping Group box. The parameters of all available taps are displayed in the Thread List. The following options are used with the Tapping Group.
Add Group - opens the Add New Tapping Group dialog box. Type the name of the new group, and click OK to add the group to the Tapping Group. You can then add taps to the group using the Thread List.
Delete Group - after selecting a group, delete removes the entire group and all of its taps from the Thread Library.
Rename Group - after selecting a group, rename is used to change the current name of the group.
Thread List
The Thread List displays the parameters for all taps that belong to the currently selected Tapping Group. The thread list is used to add, delete, or modify the tap thread parameters. The following options are used with the Thread List.
Add Thread - opens the Add/Modify Thread dialog box. Type the Tap Label and the remaining parameters for the new thread, and then click OK to add the new thread to the currently selected group.
Delete Thread - removes the tap that is currently selected in the Thread List.
Modify Thread - opens the Add/Modify Thread dialog box for you to change the parameters of the tap that is currently selected in the Thread List. After making the changes, click OK to accept the new settings.
