Advanced Sheet Settings

Introduction

The Advanced Sheet Parameters dialog box allows you to assign a priority to your sheet, have control over how the sheet is filled, and dictate a specific bounding area to nest within. This can be accomplished using:

Parameters

Sheet Priority - This allows sheet to be prioritized for the nesting job. The higher the value assigned to a sheet, the higher the priority in the nesting job.

Multiple Corner Nesting - In the main Sheets Parameters page, under Additional Sheet Parameters, you set a specific Nesting Corner that the job is to begin nesting from. Multiple Corner Nesting allows you to attempt other corners in the nesting calculation to see which creates a more effective nesting result.

  • None - is set by default. With None selected there will be no Multiple Corner Nesting attempts.

  • Flipped Corners - attempts nesting from the corner specified in the Nesting Corner option and also from both the specified corner and the flipped corner to see which result is the most effective.

  • Inverted Corners - attempts nesting from the specified corner option and also from both the specified corner and the inverted corner to see which result is the most effective.

  • Four Corners - attempts nesting from the specified corner option and also from all the corners simultaneously to see which result is the most effective.

Local Area

Selecting this check box will allow you to set a rectangular area of the sheet to restrict nesting results to.

When cleared, the nest will fill as much of the sheet as possible, unless a uniform margin has been set.

  • X Minimum - defines the x position of the lower left hand corner of the rectangular boundary area.

  • Y Minimum -  defines the y position of the lower left hand corner of the rectangular boundary area.

  • X Maximum -  defines the x position of the upper right hand corner of the rectangular boundary area.

  • Y Maximum -  defines the y position of the upper right hand corner of the rectangular boundary area.

Override Stock Margin

Selecting this check box will allow you override any margins currently set in favor of the Local Area.

This check box is cleared by default. When cleared the nested area will be the intersected area between Local Area and any other previously specified margins.
