The Post processors in the BobCAD-CAM system controls the format and output of the NC code, however the Machine Definition does play an important part. The machine definition will determine how the code will be output based on the machine kinematics. This becomes very important when dealing with 4 and 5 axis machines. The details of the machine definition are not covered in this document but must be taken into consideration when building a post processor for a particular machine tool.
