Sprocket

Introduction

The Sprocket function creates a sprocket based on the settings that you define in the Data Entry tab.

Snap Increment

Sprocket supports the use of the snap increment when using the Pick method to set the origin location. The snap increment allows you to get precise results when using mouse selection and helps to reduce data entry modifications.

The Data Entry Parameters

• Number of Teeth - sets the amount of teeth on the sprocket.

• Pitch - sets the pitch of the sprocket teeth. This is the spacing between the teeth at the pitch circle.

• Roller Diameter - sets the radius of the arc (at the bottom of the space) between the teeth.

• Bore Diameter - sets the center diameter of the sprocket.

Origin

• Pick - enables selection mode for you to select geometry to define the origin location. The snap increment applies when using this option.
• Enter - type values in the X, Y, and Z boxes to define the origin location.

• OK - either accepts any changes made to create a preview, or performs the function as shown in the preview.
• Cancel - cancels the function when finished.
