The Mill Turn Tool Crib is used to define all adapter and tool mounting to the lathe turrets or milling spindles of mill turn machines. This topic provides an overview and links to explanations of all parameters in the tool crib and how to use them.
Mounting Adapters and Tools Examples
The device tree on the left side of the tool crib is used to add and mount adapters and tools in the tool crib. To learn all about using the device tree, view the Device Tree topic.
The tools list in the center of the dialog box is an informational display of all assigned and mounted tools in the tool crib. To learn about using the tools list, view the Tools List topic.
The preview window on the right side of the tool crib is an interactive window that dynamically updates to display the machine devices, adapters, and tools to aid you in mounting tools and adapters for mill turn jobs. To learn about using the preview window, view the Preview Window topic.
The Parameters group that displays below the tools list is used to define the tool numbering and tool ID for all tools in the tool crib. To learn more about the tool parameters, view the Tool Parameters topic.

You assign tools to operations using the CAM Wizards and the tool crib. BobCAD-CAM allows you the flexibility to work to your preferences, meaning you can load the tool crib for the entire job before creating features, or you can load the tool crib as you create features.
