Introduction to Ribbons
Introduction
This topic will explain the Ribbons, and provide a link to each of the Ribbons individual topics.
The Ribbons Introduction
The Ribbons contain all of the CAD and CAM functions of the software and are designed to give you quick access to each function. The each can be accessed by click its tab, as seen in the image above. This is true of all Ribbons except the Contextual Ribbons. The Contextual Ribbons only appear when an item in the CAM Tree is selected. Tip: Access Keys, as seen in the image below, can be accessed by pressing either Alt+F, or Alt+Shift on your keyboard.
The Access Keys allow you to gain access to the items in the user interface without the need of a mouse.
The Ribbons
Home
The Home ribbon contains your edit, selection, modification and view options. To find out more detail, see The Home Ribbon topic.
Create 2D
The Create 2D ribbon contains all 2D creation methods, including Patterns, and Text. To find out more detail, see The Create 2D Ribbon topic.
Create 3D
The Create 3D ribbon contains all Solid and Surface creation methods, as well as 3D Modify options. To find out more detail, see The Create 3D Ribbon topic.
Modify
The Modify ribbon contains all the options to alter the location, size and orientation of your geometry. It also contains trimming, extending, alteration and break options. Reorganization methods can also be found here. To find out more detail, see The Modify Ribbon topic.
Evaluate
The Evaluate ribbon contains all the options to create dimensions and notations as well as your basic measuring tools. To find out more, see The Evaluate Ribbon topic.
CAM
The CAM ribbon contains all the options to create CAM Jobs, to alter settings and access the CAM libraries. To find out more, see The CAM Ribbon topic.
