SOLIDWORKS CAM Software Features for CNC Mill Turn Machines

BobCAM for SOLIDWORKS™ Mill Turn, a Gold Partner CAM solution, can perform everything from simple 2 axis turning to 3 & 4 axis milling and full 4 & 5 axis simultaneous machining right inside of SOLIDWORKS™. It offers a variety of sophisticated and fully associative machining strategies within an intuitively designed wizard driven interface. BobCAM for SOLIDWORKS™ gives you the control needed to easily program non-perpendicular multiaxis tool movements involved in machining intricate features and compound angles. This is particularly useful for programming complex parts such as medical components, complex valves, tool holders, oil drilling tools, and many others.

2-Axis Turning

Use toolpath operations for OD, ID, Front Face or Back Face turning with any turret or spindle.

2D / 3D Milling

Use 2D and 3D toolpath operations on the Face, OD or index location of your part with more control and options than conversational or conversion codes.

G-Code Output

Choose from Longhand code, Y-axis mode, or polar interpolation formats. This gives you the control to choose the best output supported by your machine and for your operation.

Multi-Spindle & Turret Programming

Programming on your main or sub-spindle with your upper or lower turret using BobCAD's sub-machine work-groups.

Cross Drilling

In order to use BobCAM for SOLIDWORKS™, you must have SOLIDWORKS™ 2014 or later installed on the same computer that you choose to install BobCAM for SOLIDWORKS™. The following are system requirements for using Windows Vista, Windows 7,Windows 8 or Windows 10 x64.

Recommended System Requirements:

  • SOLIDWORKS™ 2019
  • 2.0 GHz Processor or Higher (Multi-Core)
  • 6 GB RAM or Higher
  • 2 GB Available Hard Disk Storage
  • 1 GB Graphics Card That Supports OpenGL 1.1
  • For Windows Vista systems, we suggest ATI or NVIDIA graphics cards.

  • SOLIDWORKS&trade 2014 or Later
  • 2.0 GHz Processor
  • 3 GB RAM
  • 2 GB Available Hard Disk Storage
  • 256 MB Graphics Card That Supports OpenGL 1.1

When using physical media (disk) to install the BobCAM software, the optical drive being used must support DVD-ROM disks.
