“The North Georgia Locomotive Works is a hobby group that is in the process of designing and building 1/8 scale trains and parts for these trains. This includes track that our trains will operate on.
“I have always liked being around trains since school age; I grew up next to the Southern railway tracks. It has always been my desire to own and operate a live steam locomotive. The one that you see pictured here belongs to John H, the founder of the North Georgia Locomotive Works. He and I worked on building this one. Wish we had BobCAD-CAM back then to make lot of the parts, would have been a lot easier to machine. At the North Georgia Locomotive Works it is our desire to manufacture parts to support this hobby.
“Since we have started using Bob CAD-CAM it is a lot easier to draw out the part and post a G-Code. Sure makes it easier and more accurate than manual machining.
“As a machinist, and having used other software to operate CNC machines before retiring, BobCAD-CAM software has been very useful in the design phase. We have found that the BobCAD-CAM software is very user friendly. Should we have any problems with BobCAD-CAM, we refer to the video tutorial to walk us through the process. All video tutorials are well done and very informative and can be reviewed at any time. When there are updates in the software BobCAD-CAM lets you know of any changes. Tech support is only a phone call away or an e-mail away.
“We have contacted a friend that has a CNC machines and showed him what we have drawn out for our projects. So far no problems with the software and do not anticipate any. The Predator CNC editing that comes with BobCAD-CAM is the best and easiest to use when you need to edit your program. Simply put you cannot go wrong with BobCAD-CAM.
“As you can see by the photos, there are a lot of uses to for the BobCAD-CAM products.
