The Templates

The templates are designed to provide you with a custom framework at different levels of job creation to make job creation easier.

  • The Default Parameter Templates - allow you to set default values for all features and operations. As an example, if you usually set your Rapid Plane to a particular value, and use certain lead on certain operations, the Default Parameter Templates allow you to update the values that exist by default in those features and operations.

  • The User Defined Templates - allow you to define custom machining strategies. These go a step further than the DMS Defaults, as you can also set specific tools to the operations, and alter the values and options used in the operations.

Note: When creating a User Defined Template, any operations selected for the template whose values have been modified with the Default Parameter Templates will initially have those saved values. However, these can be updated, and once saved as a template, and used again in the future, these values will never be overridden by a Default Parameter Template. You can, of course, select a User Defined Template and alter the values manually.

  • The Job Templates - allow you to save entire jobs to load again in the future. Anything in the particular job, at the time of saving, will be saved in this template.

  • The Document Templates - allow you to save entire documents to load again in the future.
