Optional Parameters

  • Angle Tolerance - This applies to both X and Y surfaces. It is equal to half the total tolerance, e.g. ±0.25 degrees = B.25 tolerance.

  • Experience Value - The measured size can be adjusted by an amount stored in a spare tool offset. Component clamping forces in some applications can influence the measured size. Therefore, an adjustment value to relate measurement to a traceable standard, such as a co-ordinate measuring machine, is desirable. Thermal effects can also be compensated for using this method.

  • Feedback % - allows you to reduce the amount that is updated to any offsets based on probe reading.
  • Feature Tolerance - sets the allowable tolerance from the nominal measurement values.

  • True Position Tolerance - sets a cylindrical tolerance range from the center point of the feature.

  • Probe Overtravel Distance - defines the additional allowable distance of travel beyond the expected point of contact.

  • Tool Offset - defines the tool offset to be updated based on the measured values.

  • Upper Tolerance Limit - sets an limit to the tolerance which, if is found to be violated, will prevent the tool from being updated.

  • Null Band - sets the allowable tolerance range.

  • Print Output - outputs the gathered data to the specified location.
